About Storied Paths

My story is like many others  – I came to Tallahassee to start college, earned my B.A. and M.A. at Florida State University, and then stayed to make Tallahassee my home.  I’ve now been a Tallahassee resident for 30+ years.  My husband and I were married here, we’ve raised our children here, and we have been involved in the Tallahassee community in a variety of ways.  

The idea for Storied Paths, LLC started as a conversation among friends around the firepit in my backyard.  That conversation gave me the support and courage I needed to take a risk and begin this adventure as a local business owner.

On my tours I tell the story of Tallahassee and the people who have called it their home. My passion for making history fun and approachable, and my love of good storytelling are combined in my tours.  I aim to provide experiences that are both entertaining and educational.

As a local historian, my research is never done.  I’m always learning more about Tallahassee, adding new content to my tours, and developing new experiences for my guests.  You can often find me at local lectures, museums, and events that deepen my understanding of Tallahassee and its place in broader history.  

In addition to being a member of the Tallahassee Historical Society and the Florida Historical Society, I am a volunteer docent at Goodwood Museum and Gardens and the First Florida Capitol.
